Schooltime ends, friends leave you, your dreams leave you, but life always moves on. When we enter teenage, it’s a like a free pass to misbehave. We have the excuse of still being children, yet we demand that we be treated like adults. Our demands are finally met as soon as we turn 20, but suddenly, adulthood loses its appeal. It happened so suddenly. I thought I won’t be excused for anything now, I won’t be expected to make mistakes, to learn eventually, everyone will have expectations and demands, and as an adult, I must fulfill them. It was all a little scary and unnerving.
Undoubtedly, it is the start of a new and interesting chapter. And slowly but steadily, I’m sure I’ll go from being clueless and directionless to a self dependent, wise, know-what-I-want adult. In the mean time, I guess I’ll just fake it till I make it.
